Adrian Wright

An intriguing biography of the publisher John Lehmann. Lehmann who co-owned The Hogarth Press with Leonard and Virginia Woolf before starting the Penguin imprint New Writing.

My late friend Martin Taylor was originally commissioned to write this biography. Wright has told Lehmann's story of public success and gay private life well but ultimately his subject remains elusive.
