Ralph Lee Woodward

This is a good, general book on the history of Central America. I've used it to teach undergraduates about Central America to provide the "big picture." That said, it desperately needs to be updated, as it only goes up to 1985. A lot has happened in Central America since then and this text now seems pretty dated on a number of points. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any comparable work to replace it with.
