The vocabulary is basic and well organized to facilitate the student into some easy conversation, but works best in conjunction with a classroom setting or with a native speaker. I don't have the accompanying tape/CD which would make it more difficult to learn on your own. The text includes some guides for greater or less inflection/stress on certain words or phrases, but again it is hard to learn it well without being able to hear it.
