To Vitoria and the Pyrenees di Brian Withecombe
James returns to the Regiment and is replaced by the new Colonel. Taken on staff by Wellington, he becomes a jack-of all trades for the “Peer” as he finishes defeating the last of the French in Spain.
This series is continuing nicely with clearly more battles ahead. Wellington reaches too far and has to retreat. The Major is wounded defending the retreat.
This series continues to move along in an interesting fashion
Protecting England's Empire and trade become the paramount objective for the HMN. Transitioning from sail to steam will be awkward and fitful but necessary as the next generation of Courtenays move into leadership positions.
