This little story starts off in a way that's a little too sappy, and a little to precious for my tastes - corgis who give bunny slippers as gifts, talking animals... I almost gave up. I'm so glad I didn't. The middle of the book is a sweet story of learning about each other's differences, and the importance of being understanding and compassionate toward others. The end of the book (not giving anything away, here) is... not religious, because that would have been a turnoff for me as well, but spiritual. It addresses the comfort of memories and faith in the hereafter. To make this sweet story even more special, it is illustrated by all the top-known corgi artists of the day, including Evie Anderson, Cathy Santarsiero and Christian Slade!… (altro)
