The Eighth Arrow: Odysseus in the Underworld. J.Augustine Wetta, O. S. B. 2018. What a clever story! Odysseus decides to break out of hell, and asks the goddess Athena Parthenos for help. She sends him on a journey through Dante’s hell! He begins each ladder with a quote from The Rule of Saint Benedict and then explains how to apply this rule in thought, word, and deed. He ends with a home work suggestion such as “Spend the entire day without correcting anyone.” The book is illustrated with medieval prints in which modern items and people are cleverly placed. It is filled with practical advice on how to live.… (altro)
