Mineral resources di Kenneth Warren
Probably a useful book when it was written. It seems to have been aimed mainly at readers thinking about buying some mineral shares: however, the economics and politics of forty years ago are unlikely to be of much use to modern investors. I found it in a holiday cottage and read it in the hope of learning something about the geology and engineering involved, but these aspects are only covered rather sketchily. Essentially a waste of time, but like all Pelicans it does have a certain period charm about it.… (altro)
I'm from Connellsville and I used this book for a project I presented on the decline of Connellsvile connected to labor for and economics class. I found the book very informative and interesting. I'm glad I'm not the only one interested in the region's history.
