A retake on Rapunzel that involves dogs.

Rapunzel was in the form of a rap. The words were written like poetry, rhyming at the end of the lines. The author used descriptive and slang words, but that made the book more interesting. In this edition of Rapunzel, she was a dog. I overall really enjoyed reading this book.

A modern, and sort of funny, twist on the classic tale of Rapunzel. The entire book is written as a rap and all of the characters are dogs. I see what the author was trying to do here, by appealing to a younger audience in a "cool" and "hip" way. However, I was not a huge fan of this version at all. This seemed more like a parody and I didn't find it funny at all. I did enjoy the illustrations, but that is about it. Maybe I will try reading to a child to see their reaction.

The text is a bore to read, however the illustrations are somewhat entertaining. The book is a series of “bars” form a “rap”. For someone who loves poetry in all forms, this book is draining.
