Fangoria is already an excellent magazine but this issue has a lot of heart for Kaiju fans. It has almost an entire magazine's worth of coverage of Godzilla with a quick article featuring some of Gamera's movie history. It's definitely worth the read and spot in a horror fan's collection.

Entertaining and informative look at a dozen top Hollywood makeup FX pros from Stan Winston to Tom Savini to Bob Keen. Not just biographies but how they did it, whether creating Freddy Krueger's face and bladed-hands or the Chucky doll or the on-screen evolution of Jeff Goldbloom's brindlefly. Published in the kid-nineties, the focus tends to be on the heavy use of bizarre FX of the 80's. A "don't miss" for movie buffs.
