A blast from the past for a bunch of these. Wish there was more memory lane text though.

My favorite Harley comic. I fell a little in love with the Joker when she did. But, oh, Harley. Such a strong woman, but she is a fool for the joker. It just breaks my heart. This is one of the reasons Harley is my favorite comic book character. This is a real thing so many bright, strong woman fall prey to. I feel like she is a brilliantly flawed character. I just LOVE her. And I thought the teeth were funny too. Solidarity, sister.

I received this from Edelweiss and DC Comics in exchange for an honest review.

This felt like a 90s cartoon throwback of an elseworlds story. It didn't grab my attention at all, and the artwork was very simplistic, like a beginner trying to capture his/her heroes.

2 stars, recommended only for fans of the JLA: Gods and Monsters movie.

Someone is hunting mobsters.

It's nowhere near as good as The Animated Series, although it is still the best Batman film of the 90's. There's enough Joker in it (and a more menacing Joker than they could do on TV) to make for a good movie.

The Justice League vs. The Legion of Doom.

Lots of fun, but not as good as the previous "Unlimited" seasons. The focus is mostly on the villains, which wouldn't be so bad except that Lex Luthor is the only serious villain that's interesting this season. Meanwhile, most of the best heroes, like Batman, have smaller roles than guest characters.½

I had watched the animated movie that this is based on when it came out and thought that it was interesting, so I wondered what the TPB would be like. It takes place on a different world where Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman are there, but they are different people. Vastly different people not just in name, but also in how they 'hero'.

It's basically four stories. Each of the three main characters, this world's Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman get a very cool Origin story. And they're not short little ones, they seemed fully fleshed out to me.

Then we get the Justice League coming together origin story as well. In that one they eventually go against someone called Imperiex and it's totally knock down fight there too. And we get to see a little of the politics of this world as well.

It was a fun TPB with a bunch of totally different characters than we DC readers are used to seeing.

I got this galley through Netgalley on behalf of DC Entertainment.

Mad Love is an origin story for Harley Quinn, and it's very good. The twisted relationship between Harley and the Joker takes center stage, and it's very effective at evoking sympathy for Harley. A spectacular story.

How can you not love Harley Quinn? Is the most fantastic character in the Bat's universe. She is so sick that she makes you laught. And this comic is a very good presentation for her. 5 stars, not a doubt!

Introducing one of Batman's most beloved villains; the adorable Harley Quinn. Although she debuted as an animated only character, she was so popular that she made her way into the main comic book mythos. Dini remains the best Quinn writer, and Timm's art is beautiful in its simplicity and minimalism.

A sumptuous collection of over 250 of the more memorable "Batman" covers from his inception. Includes contributing articles by a myriad of DC creators. Particularly memorable covers are on pgs. 15 (perhaps my all-time favorite), 18, 28, 33, 57, 67, 81, 90, 92, 111, 121, 124, 149, 171 ("Robin Dies At Dawn", which deserved a full page), 209, 216-217, 219, 223 and 239. This was a fine concept, but not entirely successfully rendered. The reproductions are fine, and the accompanying articles by various comic creators are interesting and informative. But there is only a loose attempt at any organization, and what there is seems sophomoric at times. I would have done better with a chronological approach, perhaps including a grouping by artist when called for. A minor quibble, though, and it was a pleasure seeing some of my favorite (and not-so-favorite) Batman covers.

"The Batman Adventures" is the most cartoonish of the various "Batman" lines, but it still is generally capable of a good story, and this is no exception. The story, which focuses on Joker and Harlequin's love/hate relationship (she loves him, he hates her), begins with her origin, and shows why she continues to give and give, and take it and take it.½

The definitive Joker and Harley story! A must-have for Joker and Harley fans. A enticingly-told and beautifully-illustrated tale of twisted love: its intense emotions and its harsh consequences.
