Jim Tankersley

Tankersley's book is both refreshing and frustrating. Frustrating because in a short book he takes a very long time teasing his thesis, which is obvious and has been examined by other writers for many decades. That thesis is that the U.S. is at its best and strongest when racism, sexism and xenophobia are overcome or at least reduced and unions grow strong and competition increases and the economy grows for all. He tend to downplay corporate mergers as a factor, in my opinion, but his book is an argument for justice and a strong one.… (altro)
