This book is absolutely amazing. It shows perfectly how much hunger can affect a child in everyday life and how hunger can affect their peers. Lulu is constantly haunted by the hunger monster and how he makes her ashamed to be in the situation she is in. This is a great book to read to your classroom to show how everyone's outlook on food and life may be different and to show kids in a similar situation that there are resources for them.
