This treasure from 1943 is one of the best works I have seen on the old fashion skill of mending. It is printed on thinner paper due to war time restrictions; the need for rationing is also evident in ways to rework garments to get the most out of everything. It is also discusses fabric assessment and fabric grades in detail. Wool is the dominant material used.
