Honouring High Places is a beautiful collection of personal stories and journal entries by Junko Tabei, the first women to climb Mount Everest and the Seven Summits. It is a memoir of honesty, optimism, and most of all, grit. I am glad to have read it and learned more about this amazing woman. Throughout, I was struck by the love she felt towards her mountains and climbing partners—she was truly a team player whose lack of ego stands in stark contrast to the accomplishments she achieved.
