This one was a tough one. I slowly bought into this world over the first two books and then this one blew it up for me. I still enjoyed the story - 3.5/5, but there were elements that just did not work for me. First of all, I detest the "I am a superior race and I know better" attitude. Then there was the "I am not affected by the pheromones, but I will stomp all over your cultural norms because he asked for it? I had a massive struggle with that one. Finally the about face! YIKES.
The plot was interesting, the characters were confusing, and what the heck happened with Addy?… (altro)

Probably 2.5 stars as I thought this was pretty average. Followed the tropes of this type of story pretty closely but that’s fine to me. I thought the writing was fine but nothing amazing. It’s a short book so there is not a lot of world building. I didn’t like the third act conflict or the way it unfolded. It made Alex seem like a complete pushover. Definitely not bad and it only took me a little over an hour to read so I’d say give it a chance if you want to.

This book didn't work for me.

- It certainly needs a thorough editing.

- The world building is non-existent.

- The logic doesn't always work. No one cares in the ogre community about living peacefully along the humans, except for the MC and his twin brothers. So taking a (any would do, as we find out) prince hostage for the "greater good/equal rights" is a moot point.

- The prince... oh, the prince. Both of them, actually, 'cause there are two. What kind of a prince goes hunting an elk all by himself? The logistics of getting that big dead thing to the castle alone... ugh, I can't even!
Not to mention the great ogre infestation. Where were the prince's parents? Unless they wanted to get rid of their son. Where were the guards, the dogs, the gamekeeper, the minions?

- Ogres and oves. There are nothing alike the real thing, apparently. I fully expected an ogre...

...but what did I get? A tall and handsome, gentle and caring basketball size human.

- The pain. Every single character at every single moment is in some sort of pain. There is so much pain to go around, it's painful to read :/ But no matter how painful things get, there is always time and place for sex. Cause there is nothing like a blow to the head, or a vicious wound to your thigh, to make you Horny (with the capital H)

- LOVE.

After much pain and humiliation at oves' hands the prince is suddenly in lust and immediately after that in love with his ogre captor. And the other way around.

- There is insane(!) amount of puking, peeing, eye widening, eye narrowing, chuckling, giggling and snickering.

- And then there is the Oaf Prince's sister. WHY is she in this book? O.o A mystery to me. Could have done without.

IDK, I might be jaded. After all I read and very much enjoyed [b:Bloodraven|6617506|Bloodraven (Bloodraven #1)|P.L. Nunn|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1314887548s/6617506.jpg|6811618] *drools a little*

But for those who shy away from scary ogres/orc/other shady, unholy characters and real pain, this book is a perfect read. Not saying the book is "bad" bad, just that it is not for me.

1 star.

This is a cute, very hot story about – kissing Santa! Yep, Aaron sees his boyfriend Steve dressed up as Santa, intending to create a great memory for Aaron's five year old nephew, and cannot hold back. Seeing Steve like that creates all sorts of ideas in his head…

One of which is how good Steve is with kids. The next thing Aaron knows, the nephew runs back upstairs to go to sleep, and Aaron is in "Santa's" lap for some heavy kissing. He mentions his idea of having kids, shocking Steve into making his own "demands". What neither of them had counted on, however, provides a nice little twist at the end. It made me laugh out loud!

If you like short, sexy stories about men who are deeply committed, if you enjoy reading about Christmas-themed make out sessions, and if you're looking for a fun read with a slight twist, then you will probably like this super-short story.
