E. J. Sullivan

This is, of course, the general poem of Clement C. Moore's "A Visit from St. Nicholas" (more familiarly known as "'Twas The Night Before Christmas") peppered with Virginia references. The two kids sleep with UVA and Virginia Tech pajamas, and the dog's name is Stonewall Jackson. There are a few shout-outs to towns -- nothing west of Roanoke -- and some local delicacies like moon pies. The book itself isn't that long, so there's not much opportunity to fit more Virginia items in. While the art is very good, it's not enough to salvage the rest of the book unless you're a long-term (or, perhaps, "die-hard") Old Dominion resident.
