S. L. Stoner

A secret operative in America's 1902 labor movement leads a double life and becomes involved in a murder.

The first few chapters are slow with mostly talking between various characters. It does pick up after chapter five and by chapter twenty, I couldn't put it down.

One scene has a character come out of what seems like nowhere, but that never happens again so it is easily forgiven.

Would I read it again? Probably not, but it is worth a read if you don't mind slogging through the first few chapters.
