A beloved older gentleman from the neighborhood falls on hard times and sells his house and moves to the old folks home. The buyer moves his mother into the house, and the kids all resent her being there, so they kidnap her cat with the idea of holding it for ransom--a ransom they intend to give to the older gentleman to fund his dream trip to Hawaii. Things don't quite work out like they planned.
