Milton Stern

Michael Bern, a gay writer for a television comedy show is on hiatus when he is called back to his hometown for a friend's funeral. When he returns to Hollywood he decides that it's time to find out why he can't finish a screenplay he started 20 years ago. The story in the screenplay is filled with the hilarious characters of his mother's four closet friends as well as the agony of his relationship with his mother. The main constant - on Tuesdays they played Mah Jongg no matter whether they were talking to each other or not.
