Eh...it was okay. Mistitled and rambling, with too much focus on faith-based initiatives, the GOP, Obama and other things that have absolutely nothing to do with homophobia or the Black church, or homophobia in the Black church. I wanted context and history and not misplaced inflammatory bible verses and just odd assumptions and chapters--like why dedicate a whole chapter on DADT? The emphasis wasn't on military chaplains or Black LGBT soldiers just attitudes about Black masculinity and the affront of gay rights on Black Church which "reigns" supreme in the Black community...right.

The book was a hot rambling mess which I hoped would get better, but ultimately didn't. Pick a thesis and stick with it.… (altro)
