A thoughtful novella-length story about the lone survivor of a Mars mission, stranded now for 11 years, with no rescue possible and only intermittent communications with a failing Earth. Can one man find enough meaning or purpose to keep living in such a situation? There's a bit of religion thrown in, which for some reason didn't bother me too much, and some readers might find it meaningful.
