This is a collection of some of the earliest science fiction writings - using the expression rather broadly - in Finnish literature, together with two good introductory articles and some of the earliest scifi writings translated into Finnish. It is of immense historical interest. However, it must be admitted that it is mostly of historical interest only. The actual quality of the early writings, especially the Finnish ones, is varying but varies mostly from terrible to mediocre.
Tämä näppärä teos esittelee 42 ajankohtaista tieteiskirjailijaa. Edellinen osa käsitteli vanhat mestarit, tässä kirjassa pääpaino on 70-luvulla tai myöhemmin uransa alottaneissa: kirjasta löytyy 70-luvun feministejä, 80-luvun kyberpunkkareita ja modernia avaruusoopperaa.
Scifin ystävien kannattaa selailla tämä kirja läpi kynän ja paperin kanssa, sillä kirjasta löytyy lähes jokaiselle koko joukko uusia, kiinnostavia nimiä.

Has a very nice, short, but informative introduction to fantasy literature. Introduces 33 of the most prominent foreign fantasy writers with background info on the writer and lists of their fantasy works. A very good source book on fantasy and comes in handy when you want to find a new fantasy writer or series to read! :)
