Curious that John Shaffer is not credited as co author of this version. This book is a blast. even though I feared it was dated from the 70's it is filled with the most remarkable essays on the widest range of topics. From eidetic imagery to the power of suggestion. I loved the death imagery section as well as the one in which patients visit their brains but couldn't believe that 4 experiments confirmed that women who listen to scripts about breast enhancement actually grow larger breasts! The idea is to return to the age in which the body was developing and that stimulates growth. Wild. The book even contains a number of scripts such as time distortion and age regression. The ground work is laid for a discussion of the roles of the left and right brain hemispheres suggesting the need to stimulate the subordinate. I felt the need for right hemisphere stimulation after this. I will be returning to this book as it represented a fantastic overview of the field and I only wish I could learn who else gives us a similar view but based on more recent experiments.
