A sleepy penguin keeps drifting off into lovely dreams atop a lion's head, and the lion keeps waking the penguin up (bashing drums, crunching chips, jumping on a trampoline) to get the penguin to tell the lion a story. Eventually, the penguin relents - if they tell a story, the lion promises to go to sleep - and the lion nods off to dreamland. Cute and funny, good for pajama storytime.

Independent Reading Level: PK-3

This book is geared towards primary readers. There is a lot of repetition and use of simpler words. This book goes through the life of a baby and touches on the causes can effects of being a baby. Overall, I did not like this book and feel that other early reader books can be more impactful.

Goat feels very jealous of all the attention unicorn gets...until unicorn approaches goat, in awe of goat's ability to make his own cheese and use his cloven hooves to climb steep mountains. A great book about jealousy and friendship, which is also just really funny.
