I got an ARC and it needs a little bit of editing. A couple of names were messed up and some words were run together. I still lack an understanding as to how this can happen in the modern day and age, with all of the easily accessible spell checkers, but I digress.
I'd like to see this book become part of a series, with more obscure jobs brought to the table.
It was written by a mother for her daughter, so unsurprisingly there are more women mentioned than men. And that was pretty cool.
There were only two people who I completely skipped reading about. Ginsburg and Thunberg.
I glossed through a few more. J Alexander, Bill Nye, Kizzmehia Corbet, and Stephen Hawking.

Dream It, Do It is a wonderful, "easy reading" book for Elementary and Middle Grade aged children but YA and adults may find it very interesting to. It contains a lot of useful information and ideas. It is a great resource for group/family discussions.

This book contains little known facts about Dr. Seuss, some information on the Sherman Brothers who created the song for many of Disney's movies, such as what inspired the lyrics for 'Let's Go Fly a Kite' from Mary Poppins. It, also, highlights many other writers, performers, sports men and women, professional business people and those who serve and uplift.. This book doesn't stop there... Many other successful people of various occupations are highlighted in very short stories, 100 of them!

There are many helpful tips intermingled within the ten sections. Encouragement and inspiration is in every part of this book. It urges young children and older youth to "Dream" and ways to approach fulfilling those dreams.

The author has been very thorough in creating this book, yet the scenarios and activities are short and motivating.

*This book was gifted me with no pressure to post a positive review. This is my honest review.

I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. My thoughts and opinions are my own. Any quotes I use are from an unpublished copy and may not reflect the finished product.

Starting the book with Dr. Seuss was a great way to grab my children's attention! They love The Cat and the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You?, And to Think I Saw It on Mulberry Street (just to name a few favorites), and really enjoyed learning more about the author. There were a lot of interesting facts - most of them new to me - and even the simple illustrations were wonderful. They were cartoonish yet realistic depictions of people, which helped keep the children's interest, while also conveying what someone really looked like.

My favorite entry (so far) was the one on Judy Burke and Christine French Cully. I loved, loved, loved getting the Highlights magazine as a child, so it was fun for me to learn about how the two of them were involved and what that entailed. "It takes nearly a year to plan out what will go in each issue, which is delivered every month." That's amazing! It means they have to plan and prepare multiple issues simultaneously, which seems like it would be a very hectic endeavor.

We haven't gotten very far into the book, but we've enjoyed what we've read so far and cannot wait to see what other interesting people have been included. (★★★★☆)

Dream It & Do It features one hundred stories of people who succeeded in their chosen career path. These quick, one page stories are meant to inspire young minds and show the possible career paths that an interest can take them on. The book is separated into four sections of career possibilities: artists, helpers, business and discoverers. Featured are a diverse listing of people from all walks of life; some people had many obstacles to overcome, and others were given a helping hand. A commonality that brings all of them together is their passion for what they do.
Each person's story gives not only the background of how they found their passion, but their career path and practical advice on what kids can do now if they are interested. What I liked best about this compilation was that it not only highlights the showy careers such as songwriters, musicians, athletes, doctors and high profile inventors, but the careers that people don't hear about as often such as editors, designers, researchers, engineers, data scientists and historians. Each career path is treated equally and shows that each job is important and what matters most is what you put into it.
This book was received for free in return for an honest review.
