Ben Sargent

While I may not agree with Sargent's ideological outlook, the draughtmanship in this collection is outstanding and the framing device for the collection (on a dark night, one of the crows from the Texas statehouse ends up at a lonely newspaper office somewhere in rural Texas, whereupon a discussion about the state of Texas [in more ways than one] ensues). Some of this requires a lot of knowledge of Texas of the era.
