This is an excellent recounting of the life and times of Elizabeth Windsor, the current Queen of the British Empire, Elizabeth II. It records an huge amount of detail but it never gets into her head. Nevertheless, her long reign, as well as the time she was heir apparent, has made her a significant player in a tumultuous portion of history. There were times when a human being shows through but they are rare. One could almost call this a Guide Book of the period 1936 through today. Once again, the failure to use proper grammar is a distraction. The pictures, and especially the portraits, are excellent and they do much to tell a story when the written word is inadequate.… (altro)
