LindsayWalker nails it, "Not the work of art it wants to be, but a fascinating and unique journey nevertheless."
For someone who grew up in the midst of the sexual revolution, this book was rather "old hat." I think that for folk who are fascinated by the pre-condom/pre-plague days, this might provide some insight.
