This is an unusual book (I listened to the audiobook read by Therese Plummer. I wasn't sure at first if it was froth or a serious treatise about love. I think it might be something in between, though it is more meaty than this might imply. Rose has views I haven't heard before. Her analysis of the soul mate is illuminating. I'm sure most of us believe soul mate equals true love/Mr Right or whatever. But she seems to see soul mate as someone who is more friend than lover - more cup of tea than cocktail. Unexpected. I didn't quite understand the second love - karmic love. It seemed to be about finding someone you find attractive enough to make you think they are for you, but it is a love affair you try too hard to make work. I am still reading the twin flame...

I'm so glad the author left the reading to Therese Plummer, a good choice for this. She is a prolific reader with 164 entries in my library's catalogue. The audiobook is 6 1/4 hours - a good length.… (altro)
