In the Soup di Alexandre Rockwell
Great cast and some nice moments make up for the rather nonsensical nature of this story of a wannabe filmmaker (Buscemi) in love with his next door neighbor, Beals, who (Buscemi, that is) is practically adopted by the unrestrained Cassell. The relationship between these two characters is unusual to say the least. Lots of memorable acting in the smaller parts as well--Patton, Moya, Boyar, Tucci, and Mazar in particular, but everyone else as well. Nice locations, tool.
½It’s wild and sweet and sure it’s artsy but it’s beautiful and well-scripted to boot. Watched movie on Kanopy.
