The first chapter is called " A Sleeping Giant Wakes" this chapter is about the eruption of Mt. St. Helens. The description of a volcano erupting along with the picture to look at was great. Other chapters included "What are Volcanoes", "From Core to Crust" and "What is going on under there". I would use this book to teach about tectonic plates, layers of the earth as well as volcanic eruptions. Great pictures and a very clear glossary.
