It wants to be Downton Abbey, and I think I'd love it if it were a TV show. As a book, it's limited -- the characters aren't developed enough to really pull me in and the flagrant bad behavior is very extreme. I appreciate that the main characters are rebels in their own ways, but they are all either so nasty as to be repugnant or so naive (and beautiful) as to be deeply annoying.

I liked this, although I wouldn't have done the epilogue.
I'm not sure the framing of switching back and forth between time periods was necessary.

It was good, but it felt more like the second book in the series rather than the first, I felt it was vague enough with the characters backstories that it needed more introduction.

This book is pure fluff. It's Downton Abbey for young adults, but I can't deny that it's an enjoyable read.
