An attempt to tell the story of Doctor John McCrae through the viewpoint of his horse, Bonfire.
It works quite well, but become a little laboured at points as 'Bonfire' attempts to tell the story of the war...
There are some fine photographs, including two taken at McCrae's funeral with Bonfire carrying his rider's boots reversed, a very military gesture of respect.
A light, quick read. More a young adult (hateful tag!) than anything else.½
