Breve biografia
Simon Puttock was born in New Zealand and, as a child, travelled all over the world with his family. He wanted to be a vet when he was little, but grew up to become a bookseller. He was particularly interested in children's books and was chosen to be a short-listing Children's Whitbread judge. He has since become a full-time writer, creating 24 children's books, and winning the Early Years award at the Royal Mail Scottish Children's Book Awards, 2006. Simon lives in Edinburgh, Scotland.

This book was so fun to read! I loved the fun adjectives used to convey the piglets' and mother's opinions about taking a bath. I liked how the sentences ran onto the next page, it really helps build anticipation and makes it easier to read it in the appropriate tone in my head. I wish I had someone I could read it aloud to, because I think that would have made me enjoy it even more! Not only were the words fun to read, but the pictures went perfectly with the story line. It was entertaining to watch the bath get more and more fun as their mom added the bubbles and ducks, and used the brush to tickle them. It made me remember how much fun my bedtime baths were when I was younger, and how my mom would give us toys to play with. It was super charming to follow the piglet's as their views on baths changed. I think the overall message of the story was that you can make any chore fun. I could see me enjoying this book when I was little and wanting to recreate this awesome bath the pictures showed!… (altro)

This cleverly written children's tale is based on 'The Big, Bad Wolf' and the world's perception of him. He goes from place to place trying to show other animals that he really is indeed good. It is a sweet story that could be used as a base for talking about getting to know others before making unkind judgements about them.

This book could be used for a reading or writing lesson. It has lots of expression and voice.
