Lily's parents travel for work often and they bring her along. This is a short and sweet picture book about a little girl and her stuffed animal seeing the world. Most of the places aren't really identified by name so you just have to look at the scenic views and guess. This is okay for adults, but I feel like young children will need some explanations to understand. The illustrations are charmingly stylized, and do feature diverse characters. Although it's not much to write home about, this is a decent story you can use to discuss friendship and being on the go. For what it's worth, "Lately Lily" is apparently a brand name used by the author to sell a variety of products.… (altro)

I thought this book was a bit boring so I didn't like it that much. I thought the plot could have been more interesting. The plot of the story was, I travel all over the world with my parents, and then I go back home. I didn't enjoy this plot at all, I think it wasn't interesting and I don't think it go the reader involved in the story that much. I think the plot should have had a conflict of some type. I thought the writing was too simplistic. Some pages didn't even have writing on them which I didn't like. The writing on each page was maybe 10 words or less. I get that this book was geared for younger children, but I feel like the author could have made the words used more interesting. I also found that the main character Lily could have been better developed as well. I feel like the author could have included more details about Lily to make her seem more interesting to the readers. The big idea of this story is that after traveling, you can always go home.… (altro)
