Reading this as part of the Harlequin Romance Readers group, and received my digital ARC from them as well. That being said...

The story itself was good, all the intrigue, subterfuge, scheming, and shenanigans... even the romance or attempts at such. Some mentioned issues with the writing and viewpoint changeovers... those I did experience. There were really only two things that gave me pause (and brought my star rating down)... first, the crassness of the language along with the over indulgence of shall we shall satisfying unions. Way more than I prefer in my reading in both detail and frequency. Second, the aftereffects of the poison. Loved the story angle it borrowed, but that craving issue seemed absurd, or rather simply another excuse to squeeze some more play time in. *ahem*

Did I enjoy the book? At its heart, yes... but spare me the details, and I'd have been better off... but I am rather curious about that Epilogue.
