3.5 stars (rating shown may vary depending on whether site allows half star ratings.

I found several books from this series while searching for books from a different series by the same publisher. I have enjoyed this series more than some of the other series from this publisher--though they all kind of follow the same formula for the plot.

Growing up, football games seemed to be the "big events" but at college basketball was the sport, so I kind of get the March Madness idea.

I thought Beans was cute in this book when they dressed him up.

I think I figured out who the perpetrator was about the same time as the author revealed it in the plot, but that's my norm so you may have a different experience.

Probably closer to 3.5 stars but some sites don't allow half star ratings.

I have been enjoying this series (Creative Woman Mysteries) since finding a number of the books at Half Priced Books. I will say that reading them close together, they do sometimes get a bit repetitive.

In this book, Shannon learns more about her family. Shannon's home is broken into and a secret room revealed. Shannon learns that one of her relatives was searching for treasure using a map and clues

While Shannon's ancestor planned to keep the treasure, Shannon plans to follow the letter of the current law and turn it over to the state if it is found.

Not being a basketball fan, Liz is trying hard to understand the "Hoosier Hysteria" that has gripped some of her friends. In the midst of the closing of the season, the long-time high school basketball coach is found dead in his office. At first, it seems like a natural death, but the coach's fiancée insists it's murder. Liz wonders who would murder the popular coach, but then, she comes to find out that he wasn't all that popular with a lot of people. This fourth book of the series has an intriguing mystery as well as the characters readers have come to enjoy.… (altro)

After her mother’s death, Liz finds a diary her mother had kept, indicating she was raised Amish. A much surprised Liz gives up her her career as a lawyer to go back to Indiana and open an inn, but with the intent to track down her Amish relatives. Unfortunately, before she has a chance, she gets involved with a murder. Wanting to clear a young Amish man she feels is innocent of the murder, she puts herself in danger of being the next victim. This premier book of the Amish Inn Mysteries sets up the characters and has an intriguing mystery to boot. Liz is a delightful character, and the “material girls” quilting group promises to be a source of fun as well as support for Liz when she finds herself in trouble. This series is written by a number of authors, a somewhat uncommon aspect as series go, and should keep the series fresh and exciting.… (altro)
