Although I read this book over a span of two months, it wasn't because it isn't engaging. The book was a fascinating, albeit slightly dated, look at the NFL from the side of those married to the players and coaches. The book, written by the wife of a coach, interviewed not only the wives of big name players (Jackie Rice, Kim Singletary) but also lesser names - Julianne Player, Gina Nedney. It talked about some of the expected challenges - balancing family life with the game, and some unexpected ones - juggling requests. An engaging and interesting read.
A pleasant surprise - some like Rob Nedney were still playing during the 2009 season when I read this book. Sad to see Rob hurt at season's end and hope his career continues.… (altro)
