Ningkun Wu

This book is mentioned in Oracle Bones by a journalist in China. I want to read it for that reason, although I have already read several memoirs of suffering in China under Mao and the Cultural Revolution. I wish that there were some memoirs by regular Chinese peasants or city workers for the same period. We tend to get a single picture from intellectuals because those are the ones able to write and more likely to be translated in the West.
