It has been a while since I have read a book with this much detail. The author writes in a way that the reader can feel that they are actually there in the very rural town in VT. It was a refreshing read.
There were many characters, all very distinct, quirky, comical, laid back, and unique.
Jules was quite the character himself.
I really enjoyed this book. People who are familiar with the rural areas of VT might enjoy it more than others. I grew up in the very very rural area of Upstate NY, so I could relate.
I won this book in a giveaway from the publisher.

I received an advance copy of this book from Rootstock Publishing. Thank you.
There is a lot to enjoy about this book. The story is set in Iraton, VT, a small, very rural town in Vermont. The town is full of fun, quirky characters. Jules, fresh out of college, decides to buck what's expected of him and buys a junkyard far from his suburban home. As he tries to figure out what to do, and how to do it, he is befriended by the town. There is his Aunt Martha, who has become a real estate agent, and sold him the property. She too is going through an identity crisis; from hippie to capitalist. There is Lutheria, whose family dates back to the founders of the town, she's been there forever and knows stories and the history of the whole area. She and Jules bond when she begins to have him help her put them to paper. There's Butchy who can fix anything and comes to join Jules in the Junkyard. There's Maddy, her brother Byron, her mother Glinda, Maddy's husband Anson, and Anson's brother Arden. All go off on tangents with Jules caught in the center. There are some mystical moments, crime, comedy all wrapped up in this book. I didn't like the way the book ended. It wasn't an ending that leaves one wondering, but rather if felt like it ran out of steam or that the author just wanted to be finished. The loose ends were a little too loose. Over all, the book was enjoyable.… (altro)
