Toni McRae (–2014)

Disappointing. Although there was a good description of the Battle of Long Tan from the Australian field officer commanding at the time this only amounts to a small portion of the book. The remainder of the book is highly repetitive and filled with pointless detail about his life. Harry continues to argue for decorations for the men who fought the battle. Every few years when there is a new governmental review of the awards he has to rehash who was recommended for what, who was downgraded or overlooked and which of the rear command staff got awards for remaining behind the battle. I understand that he has grievances but they seemed to have consumed much of his life. I picked this one up cheap and I still think I was ripped off.… (altro)
