Cross over into Gaelic with Maggie Midge and the… di Rab McPhee
Fun and very accessible - they couldn't make it any easier. Will the (G)Nats win a "midgeority"? Partly in English, partly in Gaelic, and full of puns - a light-hearted, non-partisan take on the Scottish Independence Referendum. There's a whole series about Maggie and her pals, with progressively more Gaelic. The illustrations are OK, even if you are not keen on bugs.
