Very entertaining. The French culture was of course Fun, the story is good, but what made the book really work was the under current of a society, indeed a world, having a similar crisis that two forty-something people frustrated and coming to terms with the second half and dwindling end of their story. It’s that feeling of angst, a pregnant angst that fills you with a foreboding-things are going to get worse. The vibe is stubborn. Because the political climate and the environmental climate are spinning out of control. When you are nostalgic for your bad childhood…..Oy.… (altro)
