Nothing exciting here. It's your normal "collection of odd things said by person x" book, and in this case said person is Bob Katter, "maverick" Australian independent federal politician representing a big chunk of north Queensland.

Make no mistake, Katter is an odd chap; "mad as a cut snake" is the first term that comes to mind when thinking about him, and he does have some odd ideas and some even odder ways of explaining them. He is also no friend of the Gay and Lesbian community (and those from San Francisco in particular). To cite just one example, he said, on 13 October 1994, "New South Wales ... has its gay Mardi Gras and skites about all the people that came out from San Francisco, the city of a million people and 20000 AIDS cases, presumably to bring their pestilence and plague with them."

It goes on but you do not have to. I'd recommend reading another book instead.… (altro)
