As I have a friend who was recently diagnosed with ALS, I had a particular interest in reading this story of one woman's journey with the diagnosis and resultant loss of mobility and everything that had made her life rich and full. Surprisingly she coped better than I would have believed, and the information provided in the book gave me insight into ways that I may be able to help my friend as time passes.

3255. Final Harvest: An American Tragedy, by Andrew H. Malcolm (read Oct 13, 1999) This is a 1986 book about some murders famous locally that happened on Sept 29, 1983, near Ruthton, Minn. I thought the book well-done, and the account of the trial was good. This was an easy book to read, tho the crime is not really that extraordinary. Made me want to go to Ivanhoe, Minn., just to see the place of the trial.
