A disease hits humanity called "The Lethargy" and a man named Marcus builds a complex with a lot of rooms.

Thats all I can say about this books plot as there is only much I could take.

The two first chapters are about a shut-in gamer guy who wonders why his mother hasnt brought him food in a while and goes out of his room to find she has the Letarghy.

The second chapter is about a woman of nigerian/japanese parentage whose father during her childhood kept obsessing about the texture and the color of her skin.

I kept wondering when the supposed maincharacter would arrive on page when we meet Marcus in the third chapter where he has a surreal conversation with another guy.

Whats going on with this book I dont know but I do know that I felt like I was being lectured about spending too much time on the computer and that it had an obsession with japanese things.

Zero stars.

Freaky Spencer
(Freaky Finders #1)
by Al K. Line
This is certainly an odd book and I like odd. There's strange characters, trips to hell, odd jobs, portals to other dimensions, and Freaky himself who is one weird dude! This is a very imaginative book in every way! A fun book with plenty of humor too!

I struggled a bit at the beginning of the book and wasn't sure it was going to be one that held my interest, but it picked up about a third of the way in and got much more interesting and fast paced after that. Line has created a very interesting world, and Spark is an interesting character, as are the people he interacts with. It's not your usual urban fantasy. It's grittier and darker and has an fascinating magic system. When I started I didn't think I'd be reading more than this book, but now I have to admit that it's gotten into my head and I am curious to see more of this strange and interesting world. Will definitely look for book 2.… (altro)

Clever repartee...

...does not make a novel. I was bored with the foolishness very quickly. I started to actively dislike the main character too soon. Pathetic. He's a thief who fell asleep on the job. Then did a terrible job getting away and got caught again. Just stupid.
