The first half of this, about learning to write as a journalist, examines, very briefly. various different genres - feature writing, travel writing, sports writing - and has a chapter on the relationship between journalism and PR. The latter part of the book is headed The Business Of Freelancing, and covers more practical issues. Despite its light-weight tone it succeeds in giving a warts-and-all account of the uncertainties and stresses of freelance work.
