Nice use of paste paper in the illustrations. Also just a nice book about listening.

Chloe is a little girl who doesn't pay much attention to nature until the wind and the trees start to whisper to her. They explain all about the magic in the garden such as the transformations of the plants and animals throughout the seasons. The illustrations were colourful and the text was simple but there was not a lot of detail. When you get to the back of the book, there are facts that explain the why and the how of the many changes in the book. Nice for children to think about nature and when talking about animals and their adaptations. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.

Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.
The Magic Garden is a beautifully illustrated story about what we can find in nature if we only take time to look. Informative and with language that is both simple and descriptive, children are introduced to the plants and animals that live outside.

A book about trees and how important they are. It goes through the different seasons and how the trees change. The artwork in the book is simple but appealing.

A nice, simple book about trees that covers their changes over seasons and the many reasons trees are important. Most pages have only a single sentence, so I felt the font could have been a little bigger for beginning readers. However I would recommend it for a read-aloud.

The concept of this book is really great, although the art really steals the show. Absolutely amazing! The narrative is good, although doesn't quite approach the same plane as the collage.
