- Donald J. Lehnus is currently a doctoral candidate in the School of Library Science at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland. He received the M.L.S. degree from the University of California, Berkeley (1957) and graduated from the University of Kansas (1956) with a B.A. in Spanish literature.
Before entering the doctoral program in library and information science at Case Western Reserve University he was assistant professor in the School of Librarianship at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo (1967-1970), and prior to that he was professor of cataloging at the Escuela Interamericana de Bibliotecología in Medellín, Colombia
(1964-1966). He has also worked as cataloger and reference librarian in libraries in California and New York.
Mr. Lehnus is especially interested in cataloging, and has published several articles and books. His articles have appeared in Library Journal, Wilson Library Bulletin, Journal of the American Society for Information Science, and the Journal of Education for Librarianship. His latest book, an interpretation of the Anglo-American cataloging rules, is entitled How to Determine Author and Title Entries According to AACR; An Interpretive Guide with Card Examples (Oceana, 1971).
