A useful compendium of research studies that tested various cholesterol-reducing therapies. Having said that, be aware that it was published in 1989, and a number of important studies have since been completed. Primarily, many of the high-cholesterol foods that were formerly forbidden to heart patients are now recommended for reducing cholesterol. These include eggs, shell fish and nuts. No doubt there are others I've failed to mention and still others that will be brought to the public's attention as more research studies are completed.… (altro)
